Kicking off with a ferociously smashing drum line, Sydney’s Yours Truly’s latest single ‘Together’ is top-tier material.
Spawned from a major rut in self confidence, singer Mikaila Delgado recalls the stress of imposter syndrome her and the band felt coming off the back of the success of previous release ‘Afterglow’ and the intense pressure of creating “the best songs of [their] life”.
“One night I turned to Lachlan (Cronin, guitar) and said ‘I just feel all the colour has been drained from my brain’ and we both looked at each other with wide eyes, and that’s how the idea of ‘Together’ came about.“

An exceptionally crafted piece of modern pop-punk, ‘Together’ is filled of crashing drum beats, bouncing melodies and soaring vocals. It’s a triumphant anthem about acknowledging your doubts and anxieties but pushing through and disallowing them to take over and suffocate you.
“Sometimes I feel so out of place / And if I’m worth the pressure / Check myself and pull it all together.”
‘Together’ comes as the band accounted their debut studio album ‘Self Care’, an album centred around a turbulent year full of break-ups, lost jobs and career pressures, the album being the bands own unique version of self care.
